Description of the process :
This is the fourth children’s book I illustrated in a 12 month period… and all 500+ ants were a bit monotonous to illustrate by the end! I had considered digitally duplicating the ants, but hey, I wasn’t in the mood for cutting corners!

Counting book to the childhood song “The Ants Go Marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah!…” These ants march one by one, two by two, and so on until there are ten groups of ten. This book is ideal for reinforcing addition, multiplication, and growing patterns.

I love your book titled “The Ant Go Marching!” How do I order a copy? I own an animation company called Ant Farm Digital Studios. Looking forward to reading your book.

Hi there Randall,
Thank you for your kind comment on my blog… and glad you like my book “The Ants Go Marching!” I took a quick peek online at the publisher’s website and found they sell them in packs of six books for $36. They are paperbacks, are 6.5 x 8 inches in dimension, and the print quality is really nice (covers are glossy & look to be laminated.)

Kind of funny timing with you writing to me about my book, last week my toddler discovered it in the book case, then discovered Mommy will sing the catchy repetitive song each time… so I am reading it again, and again, and again… and am looking forward to the day she learns how to read it for herself!

p.s. I had a peek at some of your animations, they’re quite fun!

Cheers,

Heather Castles

Your book about the antsl reminds me of my childhood favourite “The hungry caterpillar” I grew up with this and later on in life so did my children I hope your book brings children and adults alike the fond memories I had of similar books good luck
