Description of the process :
This is the fourth children’s book I illustrated in a 12 month period… and all 500+ ants were a bit monotonous to illustrate by the end! I had considered digitally duplicating the ants, but hey, I wasn’t in the mood for cutting corners!

(I couldn’t resist…mine is in the back row, third from the left, ha ha ha! I’m a small fish in a big pond…)

Story Synopsis :
Counting book to the childhood song “The Ants Go Marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah!…” These ants march one by one, two by two, and so on until there are ten groups of ten. This book is ideal for reinforcing addition, multiplication, and growing patterns.
